Innovation

Bosch has added an air duct detector to its wide range of intelligent fire detectors. This device provides early warning and detection of smoke in buildings' heating, air conditioning or ventilation ducts. It especially helps to prevent injury, panic or damage by detecting the circulation of smoke in area with difficult access.

  • Magic.Sens detector inside: Excellent detection speed, precision and high level of security against false alarms with integrated smoke detector.
  • Easy mounting on the outer surface of a duct casing, the new detector´s status is always visible and it is conveniently acessible for maintenance.
  • LSN: Integrated in loop bus system with automatic device identification, address assignment support and functional security in the event of cable interruption or short circuit.

Features

  • Intelligent smoke detection: The Magic.Sens detector series using leading-edge algorithms and integrated alarm pattern comparisons is now also available for duct applications.
  • Three different tubes (46cm, 91 cm and 152cm) enable best capture of smoke particles. Tubes are inserted into the duct and aligned in the same way as a flow meter.
  • Easy integration and identification in the LSN Local SecurityNetwork.
  • Optional Relay board for controlling accessories, e.g. ventilation flaps.

Application

  • Air duct smoke detector is designed for use with Bosch´s 500 and 2000 Series Fire panel and the 5000 Series Modular Fire panel.
  • Applications: Buildings'  heating, air conditioning or ventilation ducts.
